Last week I was talking to someone at work and they said just do what you usually do. I said, ‘Oh, the crustimony proceedcake.’<\/p>\n
It’s from Winnie the Pooh<\/em>. They didn’t get it.<\/p>\n Here’s the story: Winnie-the-Pooh has discovered that The Old Grey Donkey, Eeyore, has lost his tail. (Here I am following the capitalization of Mr Milne.) So he goes to see Owl. As Pooh says, ‘. . . if anyone knows anything about anything it’s Owl who knows something about something . . .’<\/p>\n At Owl’s house, Pooh asks him what to do. Now Milne:<\/p>\n ‘Well,’ said Owl, ‘the customary procedure in such cases is as follows.’<\/p>\n ‘What does Crustimony Proceedcake mean?’ said Pooh. ‘For I am a Bear of Very Little Brain, and long words Bother me.’<\/p>\n ‘It means the Thing to Do.’<\/p><\/blockquote>\n My copy of Winnie-the-Pooh<\/em> is inscribed with my name and the date, 1955, in my father’s hand.
