He said it looks different every time he sees it. He told me of a place not far away where on a clear day, one can see Rainier to the south and Mt Baker to the north. He wanted mountains and he got them!<\/p>\n<p>To the east are the Cascades. They&#8217;re not as dramatic as Rainier but they&#8217;re closer and at around 8 or 9,000 feet elevation, they&#8217;re pretty dramatic in their own way.
